Stealing the Idol

So I’ve seen lots of discussion about how to steal the idol of Silvanus without triggering combat (because I don’t want to kill the druids) but it seems a lot of the ways have been stopped in recent patches.

I’ve stopped the ritual by confronting Kagha, haven’t saved Halsin yet, I’ve tried getting Astarion to sneak and steal it, but he always come out of hide to interact with the idol, darkness and fog also don’t work.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also doing it on tactician mode if that makes a difference
