240i vs 230i

I currently have a 2014 228i and I’m considering buying a new 2 series. I track my car a couple of times a year. The B58 appears to be the logical choice, but I’m concerned about the additional curb weight and front end weight bias.

I’ve done a number of events at the BMW performance center in South Carolina where I got the opportunity to drive most of the M cars. The conclusion I drew is that power is great, but the heavier cars feel like pigs on the track.
