Achieving a Military-Style Matte Finish with Automotive Paints?

Hi, referring to my earlier question about matte paint aging, I’d like to ask if it’s possible to achieve an effect similar to the look and properties of paint on military aircraft using automotive paints. Specifically, I’m interested in a very low-reflective, high-matte finish that holds up well and still looks good with typical dirt and weathering. Would applying a topcoat with a high amount of matte additive achieve this, or would it require a single-layer paint with a significant amount of matting powder?
