US Couple in Melbourne for 5 days in Feb - suggestions for thing/places to see

We’re going to be in Melbourne for several days before heading to Sydney. The only thing we have booked right now is the Phillip Island Penguin Parade. We’re staying in center city where there are plenty of museums however we also like to hike and do other physical activities. Any suggestions of places we should go or checkout? Thanks in advance.
