Strong Paint smell
I’m finishing up renovations in my kitchen and bathrooms, including painting the skirtings, baseboards, doors, and window casings with oil-based paint. The painter finished on Friday, but the strong smell still lingers.
I’ve tried:
Keeping doors and windows open since Thursday Running an air purifier all day since Sunday Hanging 10 activated charcoal bags in the painted areas Using a fan to circulate the air Despite these efforts, the smell persists. Friends and family who visited today confirmed it’s still strong. The painter suggested using scented candles, but I found out they can worsen VOCs.
What else can I do to dissipate the smell faster?
