BLOATING!!
It seems like I have been dealing with a LOT of bloating the last couple of years. I'm 38. I had my first kid at 33 and I feel like since then, I've dealt with bloating around my cycle, both while on my period and during ovulation. I haven't really gained weight. I'm 5'7 and was averaging 119lbs when I got pregnant. Since then, I've come up to averaging 122lbs, but the bloating just makes me feel heavy and like I can't eat that much because it's uncomfortable.
In the past, I've been on a plant based diet and don't really remember struggling all that much with bloating. My husband says that I should go low carb, but honestly a life without carbs seems more extreme to me than a life without meat and dairy.
Right now I do eat a mix of probably 50% carbs 30% protein and 20% fat. I also eat more sugar than I probably should and I could probably eat more veggies and fruit. That's why I do feel like I'm better on a plant based diet because it does force me to eat more fruits and veggies.
Has anyone else struggled with this later in your 30s and how did you get rid of it?
