Do you hate being addressed as ‘luv’?

Was talking to one of my colleagues yesterday about how she’s treated by passengers on the train (she’s a guard) and she said being addressed as ‘luv’ drives her mad. Being a Northerner I do this all the time by habit. Do you hate it? I’m paranoid now as she’s a great member of staff and I never thought anything of it.
