Do you still observe seasons and rituals?
I work in a supermarket so all of our seasons are mixed up, we have hot cross buns all year around and today I saw daffodils for sale. It's Winter. This really bugs me that nothing is special any more, you can buy everything all year around, there's nothing to look forward to. I refuse to buy Easter things until Easter. I won't eat a mince pie until Christmas.
On the flip side however, I just looked out of my window and noticed pretty much everyone has taken their Christmas lights down, as it's past twelfth night now. In this modern blended together mush of the 21st Century, I find it wholesome that people still observe some rituals and seasons like we have done for centuries. Like a collective hive mind that we still stick to.
Does this bother you, do you eat strawberries in February?
