Are there any films set 'in the past' but during your lifetime, that made you think 'wow, they really got this right'?

I love watching films set in past decades, but I'd love it even more if I knew somebody who was alive then could vouch for the authenticity! I feel like so many films set in the past will change things to suit a modern audience.
