Best way to approach a guy ?

What’s the best way to approach a guy, or move the conversation forward after making the first move? I (26f) am wanting to try and approach guys more often when I’m out. I do think it sucks that guys are always expected to make the first move. However, I have zero game lol. Even when I’m dating/approaching women it’s so hard for me to move it forward to show that I’m interested in more than a friend vibe.

So men, what’s your ideal way of being approached? What kind of things stand out to you in your first conversation/interaction with a woman that either approached you or that you approached?

Also, what are some more practical places to meet men? The bars are hit or miss, and I do feel like some of my hobbies are pretty dominated by women.
