If you've gotten treated for low testosterone levels, how has it changed things for you?
I'm in my early 40's. I've kinda been in a funk for a long while now. I don't really feel 'sad' I just feel meh. I have very little motivation or energy. I don't really have a sex drive to speak of. I thought I was functionally asexual, as I've never felt anything more than 'That person is interesting, I'd like to get to know them'. I've never felt genuine sexual attraction to a person like I've heard other guys describe it.
This year, my PCP ordered a testosterone check. Welp, turns out it's only ~ 100 where it should be anywhere from 300-1200. They ordered more tests to confirm. Waiting on the results from that. This is pretty unexpected for me. It's also got me questioning whether me not being sexually attracted to anyone is more hormonal than psychological. I wouldn't be treating it for 'gainz', more to get me out of my funk and make it easier for me to date (hard to find the motivation to cook when you're not hungry, if that makes sense).
I guess I'd like to hear experiences from other dudes who've gotten treated for low T? Did it change your focus, motivation or sex drive?
