visitor questions about LA traffic and rideshare?

Hi, LA! I'm flying in for a visit this weekend. I'm used to midwestern city traffic and rideshare prices, so I thought things might be a bit different in LA. If you could help with a few questions, I'd be grateful.

How long would it take to get from LAX to Culver City around 11 am, and about how much do you think it would cost? Same questions for Culver City to Santa Monica -- If I wanted to be in SM around 5 pm, what time would I need to leave CC, and what would you estimate for the price for that ride?

Would it actually be cheaper to rent a car for 1 day?
