Sopping Addiction Advice?

In the last year its become apparent my mother has a shopping addiction spending close to €10,000 on clothes and homeware She doesn't take them out of the bag. Her house is full of unopened bags with expensive items bought.

I don't know how to support her as she is in denial. She is living beyond her means.

Does anyone have experience with this and have some advice?
