Does anyone know how to meet and make new friends in Chicago?

Just recently moved here from California a few months ago and have made no friends or any acquaintances and it’s starting to get pretty lonely…

I need recommendations or tips on how to put myself out there to meet new people and make great memories and friends! It’s hard ever since I left many friends and family back in cali I’m not used to it out here and it’s difficult for me to find new people to meet :(
