Will Canada's perception of immigrants ever go back to normal?
Lately, the perception of immigrants in Canada has been extremely negative. A big part of Canada's values have been its stance on immigration, but the housing shortages, job market, and general immigrant behaviour seem to have amplified the concerns towards immigrants.
Now, the dialogue seems more polarized, with the sentiment being "too many immigrants" or "strain on resources". Not saying I disagree with this, but just curious.
Do you think this this just a temporary shift, or are we seeing a more permanent change in Canadian values? Will we ever go back to that broadly positive and inclusive perception?
