Tracing back Ancestry, trying to find where the aboriginal comes from

Hi there as the title suggest im currently doing my family tree and ive hit the point where my grandfather is certain that theres aboriginal family members ive got names birth dates death dates etc but im struggling to find any information on if they were actually aboriginal or not. If anyone thats been down this path or knows about this type of situation could point me in the right direction i would be grateful
