Asking out of curiosity: is being "super-skinny" just popular over there?

I mean this with the most respect, and before anyone comments about Americans just being fat, 1.) l'm not North American, 2.) I'm not talking about the athletic or average lean type but rather 2000s runway model, anorexic, heroin chic-type skinny, similar to or even worse than the common body type among East Asian female celebrities. I'm asking because this seems to be the trend nowadays and it's always Russian women who seem to be doing it: www.instagram(.)com/kxrpova, for example, I sometimes come across the reels on this woman's profile, she seems to be a model but is very very thin even for high-fashion models, and I do not see any comments in her native language being concerned whatsoever.

Is this really common as a beauty standard or just a niche like among young people almost everywhere elsewhere?

In my country there is this stereotype about Slavic women being curvy tall bimbo-types (which is admittedly harmful and rooted in exploitation) so this surprised me I guess.
