Is 42k brutto a liveable wage in Munich?

I was offered a job to work some 20km from Munich. The initial wage is 42k brutto a year, but for the first months I will earn less than that due to a training period(which I could not pass and not get the job) and the relocation costs are totally on me.

EDIT: this is an entry level salary, it can increase over time up to 55k according to estimates.
