Advice on haircut

I need help with my hair. I live in Milan, Italy but I've lived for most of my life in a small town where there were no Asians. And the only barbers in town had only me as an Asian client so I never really went into the differences between an Asian haircut and white one. I always requested shorter on the sides and longer on top, but I would always look like a little kid after. So I decided to let it grow now that I'm in Milan and maybe try to shape it with a cut or styling
