Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk SPF50+ PA++++ Review (2024 Formulation)

Hi folks! First time posting a review on this sub. I've tested out this product a little over a week, and I'm here with many thoughts \o/ For clarity, I am testing out the 2024 reformulation of the Anessa sunscreen that is pink and gold packaging.

~Skin type~

For reference my skin type is sensitive (I'm allergic to 3 common ingredients in skincare/makeup which limits me greatly) and I'm dry, dehydrated and have eczema. I have a light medium skintone (Korean foundations 25-27, Shisedo RevitalEssence Skin Glow Foundation 250 Sand, and 9W in Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Foundation).

~Previous HG~

I switched to this sunscreen after finding out I'm allergic to my previous HG which was Etude House Sunprise Watery Light.

~Formulation/Impressions~

The Anessa formulation is very watery, lives up to its name of being milky texture. It spreads evenly onto the skin and melts completely in. It leaves behind a powdery finish. It does have a sunscreen scent that is very light but goes away upon application. This sunscreen is slightly hydrating but not drying.

I've tried this sunscreen under makeup and it wears nicely. This is also waterproof, I took a shower without double cleansing and I could feel the sunscreen on my face and neck. This sunscreen does require double cleansing, I use a cleansing oil then go in with a foaming water based cleanser. This sunscreen did not break me out which was great.

~Pros~ - No white cast - No fragrance - Waterproof - Coral Reef Safe

~Cons~ - 60ml - 34 USD 😭

~Thoughts~

Definitely will repurchase, it's one of the most elegant sunscreen formulations I have tried and I'm not allergic which is great since most sunscreens I've looked at I'm allergic so I've had to stick to mineral or mineral hybrid sunscreens. I do not think this sunscreen will have a white cast on darker skintones, I can test this out on my boyfriend later today who has a deeper medium skintone and post on the comments if he gets a white cast.
