Why does everyone HATE Flo?????

Okay, so I’m new to Animal Crossing. I’ve only been playing for a couple of weeks, but I’m already obsessed. Also, I’m very new to the ACNH community/culture. I’m still acclimating, trying to understand everything. My starting villagers were Flo and Sprocket.

I like Sprocket, but I LOVE Flo! I love her personality, and I find her adorable, sweet, etc.

But to my extreme dismay, I recently found out she’s very much hated/disliked?? Can someone shed some light on this?

Maybe I’m biased because Flo was “my first,” and I just feel this weird/pure connection to her.
