I have a UHale Digital Photo Frame. I was hoping to "hack" it to install a little finance dashboard app that I built

It's a 10.1" Uhale (WhaleOS) Digital Photo Frame. It's actually a nice little device. Screen is snappy and clear although it's like 720p. It's also a nice little frame, and I am hoping to set it up on my work desk and use it as a dashboard.

When you go into the Uhale Settings, and tap the System Build 10 times, it pulls up an actual Android settings. I got to Dev options, and the USB debugging is turned on. However, when I plug it into my computer (Windows 11 - tried multiple cables), it shows up as unauthorized on adb devices. When I connect the device, the "USB computer connection" window pops up to select Charge Only, MTP, PTP, and that window WILL NOT GO AWAY. It only goes away when I unplug the device. The little RSA fingerprint does not pop up - or at least I cannot see it.

There is also no option for WIFI debugging. Using adb connect - it says failed to authenticate 192.168.1.111:5555

Honestly, there may be no hope. I was given this as a gift and when I realized it's Android I thought "Hey let me see if I can do something with it other than pics". I ultimately want to install a custom launcher - or a bare minimum add the normal UI navigation like Home, Back, etc.

Android 6.0; Kernel 3.10.65;

It's WhaleOS, a custom OS made by that Uhale company.

Is there anything else I can try?
