I almost laughed out loud at DS
While delivering my 315a I had one of those infamous “access key” that didn’t actually open anything. After trying several access codes nothing worked. The building was one where the ground floor is the parking lot but this one was not gated nor secured. DS, helpful as always told me “I’ll call the customer”me”its 530a here?” “That’s ok we are allowed to call that early hold customer didn’t answer so if there’s a gate or a fence at the entry just leave it by the main gate or throw it over the fence and mark it delivered or some other safe place ok?” Me: “there’s no gate this is not a gated community. I’m in a parking lot” “ok then just leave it at the door of the building” me “Are you sure? It is a really big box(3ftx3ftx2ft or pretty close)that A LOT of people are going to be able to see especially from the street.””ok I’ll mark it as delivered what time does your block end?” Me 645a. DS “Ok in that case you can reattempt delivery later how would that be?” Me”that’s not possible. I was given WAY too many packages for this route and I am already going to have to continue past my block end time just to get the rest of the packages done so no I won’t be able to reattempt.””oh ok In that case I’ll mark it unable to deliver.”…is anyone else getting this type of instruction from DS? I think she must’ve been new or something. I was like are you kidding me? Toss it over the main gate and leave by the building door?? Why so I can get dinged? Not today satan! lol
