AITA: for not taking my dad's advice about my future career choices.

Me and my dad had an argument about what I'm going to do after highschool. I told him I was going to go to the navy just because I fell like it's the best way to start my like as an adult. Then I would go to college and become my type of artist. But his thinks it's a stupid ideas because (his words) artist don't make another money to have a life and going to the navy just because you want to doesn't make since.

I thought about it maybe his telling me this because his knows better and is trying to look out for me or his being jerk. Another thing is that he supports my little brother because his wants to play basketball, he told me when my little brother watches basketball it helps him but when I watch anime, cartoon or YouTube I'm just help the creators make more money. I just think my dad doesn't respect what I want. He know that I draw so he told me that I should be a person the designs houses. Not interested.
