2018 Alfa Romeo Giullia jitter issue. What needs replacing?
Can anyone that has experiences this or might no what it is help diagnose what needs to be fixed. My alfa started doing this and it currently has 87k miles.
Vehicle Information
- Make and Model: 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia
- Issue: Vehicle jitters and shakes during slower acceleration.
Detailed Issue Description
- Symptoms:
- Noticeable jittering and shaking during slower acceleration.
- Occurs predominantly when building up from idle RPMs.
- Most pronounced when shifting through the lower gears.
- Typically happens after driving for 30+ minutes or when the car is warmed up for a while.
- Conditions:
- Happens during gradual acceleration, not sudden acceleration.
- Observed under normal driving conditions, with no extreme loads or weather.
- More noticeable in N and D modes of the DNA shifter, with the issue being most pronounced in N mode.
Related Observations
- Unusual noises: Random rev-hanging noise during deceleration, lasting about 1-2 seconds.
- No dashboard warning lights have appeared (if applicable).
- Other performance changes: (if any, e.g., reduced power, rough idling—please add if relevant).
Ideas for Potential Causes
- Could the issue be related to the transmission system, especially in lower gears?
- Might it involve the drivetrain, such as the driveshaft or motor mounts?
- Could it be connected to an engine issue, such as misfiring at lower RPMs or worn spark plugs?
