At what point are we allowed to cancel our stay and book a new one with a refund?! [USA]

Booked an Airbnb for 6 weeks and it’s been a bit disappointing-

The reviews were good, but I’m caught off guard at the state of this bnb.

At the beginning there was some disorganization but nbd these things happen.

Confusion regarding the old door code, and maintenance not coming around to make the new one for us, again nbd didn’t think much of it.

The Airbnb is the same layout as the pictures but is different than what was advertised (again, whatever).

There are a few things that could be a bit cleaner (including a huge stain on the ground in the primary). We took a picture and sent it to our host, but it appears they didn’t know anything about it either? But again… whatever?

But now I feel like I’ve reached a point where I’m honestly not sure if the host is trying to bamboozle us or if they got bamboozled by their last guests?

There are no towels in the unit (despite our host refusing to believe so and claiming the only way there would be no towels would be if they “grew legs and walked away”) ?? There are also no sheets or extra blankets? Or even pillow cases (but an extra pillow) And batteries taken out of some of the TV remotes? To add insult to injury- we found a cockroach in the bathroom.

This is our first night here, and it just doesn’t feel right.

From my understanding AirBnB always sides with the owners and it takes a dang near crime scene to actually get money back as a guest.

Do we just buy our own towels, sheets, blankets, batteries and deal with it?

Advice is always appreciated. If this was a hotel, we would probably ask for a refund and go elsewhere- but I know Airbnb isn’t exactly that easy.
