should I apologize for interrupting my professor in a meeting?

I’m a senior engineering student, and I’m working on my final project right now. I was invited to a meeting with pediatricians, the head of pediatric ICU, and the professor I work for who is very respected and accomplished. During the meeting I ended up interrupting him because I had a question I’ve been trying to ask for like 5 minutes and couldn’t get a word in. I tried to be polite, said something along the lines of “sorry to interrupt [name], I just have a question…” but after overthinking it in the shower I think I was out of place and maybe even rude. He’s the one grading my project so I need to stay on his good side. At the moment he didn’t look offended or angry. Is this imposter syndrome or should I apologize?
