Arrange marriage

I am a 30 year old Indian woman and agreed for arrange marriage. The guy is nice and we talked for few months before saying yes. We both live in Europe but different countries. Idea was to date and pick a place to live together and get married but his family put emotional pressure on us as his grandparents were sick and want to see the wedding before they die. (They are still alive)

As the wedding wa rushed we were forced to go back to our cities as we both are working. We thought we could make it work. He promised to visit me over the months. I needed a visa to visit him and I couldn't get a Schengen visa, I live in UK.

So after wedding we didnt go for our honeymoon. He mentioned he had financial issues. Then he didn't visit me the entire year. Now I am suggesting for an annulment as we have live in separate countries for a year now. But how to proceed this? We don't have a marriage certificate and now my citizenship status is also changed from Indian to UK.

Is the marriage still legal without marriage certificate and change of citizenship?

Later I find he has best friend who he has crush on. And anything I say will show me in a bad light.

I just want least drama and hurt.

What should I do? Get annulment or divorce as next month is my wedding anniversary. Or just ignore as he is in another country and I'm UK I am registered as single.
