Why does Ark never get on sale?

Like why?? I've watched for multiple months now, prob around a year. And it's never gone on sale even once. And I know it has gone on sale before. The weird part is Ark ascended goes on sale all the time

The game is old as fuck now and I just need it to go on sale once so my friend can buy it. Since I don't think it's worth $15
