RG405v (changing home launcher)
I’d been fiddling around with Daijisho and decided I wanted to use it as the main frontend. So I used an app called Button Mapper to change the function button (I think that’s what it’s called, the one on the left of the device above the micro sd card slot).
Using Button Mapper, I set it to one click to go to Daijisho and double click to go to Home.
I then used an app called Ice Box to ‘freeze’ RGLauncher.
After lots of testing and a few restarts of the device for good measure, everything is working perfectly.
However, when I start the device it goes to the Home launcher. I can then press the button to fire up Daijisho - but I’d like it to automatically go to Daijisho once the device boots up.
I found documentation which reads to simply set Daijisho as the default launcher and it’ll go right to it when the device boots up.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to hold. Each time I restart it goes to the regular Home launcher. When I look at the settings for Daijisho, it seems to forget that I set it to be the default launcher.
Does anyone know of a workaround for this?
EDIT: finally got it to work! Under Settings/Apps… I had to go to Default apps and change it there. I had been clicking on Daijisho itself in the apps list and changing which doesn’t seem to hold. So all set now. Yay!
EDIT 2: Just found this thread on how to add Android as a library tab (I prefer this to having to go over to apps)...

EDIT 3: I discovered that after restarting twice, the default home launcher gets reset. Currently can't figure out how to permanently make it Daijisho. Oh well, not a big deal.
