Questions about SVT severity
Hey all,
I know this is an afib subreddit, but i imagine many of you also have experience with other types of arrhythmias.
So for the past 3 or so months, I've started to get more episodes of what I believe to be SVT. they seem to be happening once a week or so and they only last for about 10 to 15 seconds, with the exception of one episode that lasted 30 minutes.
I'm wondering, is that frequency considered too much? and what are some things that can be causing this to happen much more often than before? this past december was one of the most stressful months of my life for a variety of different reasons, i was having a bad case of insomnia and anxiety, but i've since gotten better, so i don't imagine the anxiety from that is still effecting me so much that it's still causing issues like SVT.
i already have an appointment with the doctor to wear a monitor for them to see, but in the mean time, i can't stop feeling anxious about it. more info about me, i am 35, severely over weight (5'6", 300 lbs), but for the past month i've been much more active and eating right, and it still doesn't seem to change how often i get it. i dont think i ever got them nearly as much as i do now. also i am already on beta blockers and i don't believe i could take a higher dosage as my rhr is already in the 50s.
if anyone can offer insight on whether the frequency is considered too much or why it might be happening more often even with my healthy lifestyle changes, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks guys.
