Upgrading my trusty Zortrax M200 after 8 years - Bambu Lab p1s or Zortrax M200 Plus?
Back in 2016, I jumped into 3D printing early and bought a Zortrax M200 for $1650 CAD. It’s been an incredible workhorse and is still running great today with proper maintenance! However, its limitations are showing—like always needing a raft for prints and well very slow printing.
I’ve been eyeing the M200 Plus for a while, but it was always out of reach price-wise. Now it’s dropped to $1347.33 CAN, which feels like a decent deal for a high-quality printer.
On the other hand, the Bambu Lab P1S has been gaining traction lately. It seems stable and popular, and it’s a "little" cheaper now $759.00 CAD. I’m torn between sticking with Zortrax (Great support, very reliable) or switching to something new.
What do you think? Is the M200 Plus worth it in 2024, or is it time to explore newer tech with the P1S?
