Truthfully, how hard is inferno?

Title is that simple, how hard is it really? I don't know a lot about it, never thought I would, or should try it, but I know I have the stats and gp close for the gear needed. Thoughts on this? Thoughts on gear for this? Debating if I should even think of trying for it
