Wanted to poll the community to see if anyone had advice for how to order your skill maxing grind to minimize wasted XP and make the best use of XP spillover/secondary gains. As an easy example, I don’t think it would make sense to max Mining or Crafting before Runecraft, as you will waste about 1.5mil XP in each from the secondary gains mining and chipping raw RC essences to 99. Same thing for maxing your combat skills before finishing Slayer; thats a looong grind of pure XP waste.
So there seem to be skills that one might call “primary skills”, which, like Slayer or Runecraft, produce secondary gains in other skills, yet rarely benefit from secondary gains from other skills. Slayer is the only source of Slayer XP, lamps/books aside. And that it would be best to do these primary skills first, let the others soak up secondary gains as you 99 your primaries, and then finish off the rest.
So, to summarize, as I embark on the last push to max, what order should I grind the skills out for maximum efficiency?
