Jagex should create a secondary membership tier to allow multi-log account membership
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I fully agree with the membership price increase. Jagex has been putting out incredible updates the last few years, and OSRS is not the same game it was 20 years ago that people are comparing the price to. So imo the membership should definitely increase over time while the game gets better and bigger.
That being said, I have 2 issues with the recent price increase.
Issue 1: F2P absolutely sucks. Its writtled with bots, there is practically no way to make a significant amount of gp, and several skills will take literally years to get 99 in just F2P. If membership price increases, more people will be forced into F2P, and if F2P sucks as badly as is does, they will more likely stop playing. This is kinda irrelevant to this post, but I figured it was a very understated issue worth mentioning.
Issue 2: This is the reason for this post, membership current price is fine, but I want an option to pay extra to multilog on my other account. Many of us pay for multiple memberships a year, so a $1.50/mo change is actually $3, $4.5, or $6 extra every month.
I think Jagex should come up with some price that they are happy with that would allow us to multilog multiple accounts under the same membership, and sell it to us as an unpgraded tier to the base membership. Even if its capped at 2 accounts, and extra accounts require extra, let us have that option. However, if Jagex is unwilling to do this, I think at the very least we should be able to pay extra to be able to play membership on any of our players under a single Jagex account, up to however many memberships we play on. I would gladly pay an extra $5/mo to be able to pass my 2 memberships between my 8 players, on top of the 2 membership price.
I think Jagex just needs to come up with a number that works for them and ask us if we're willing to pay it, its extra money for them, why would they pass that up?
